New Zealand is a country full of outdoor enthusiasts- and why not-the place is utterly gorgeous. The country has designated a series of treks as great walks. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is said to be the best one day walk in NZ. We did not even attempt it . But we did take a 6 k walk in the morning and a 7 k walk in the afternoon.
